Hawaii Women's Photography Retreat March 24-31, 2012
The 7-day Women's Photography Retreats have been absolutely wonderful. The next one is March 24-31. The combination of photographing and then working creatively with the images we've photographed is very exciting and fulfilling.

I offer digital infrared photography and Photoshop workshops in Hawaii and wherever else that I teach. I have been teaching Beginning Photoshop for Photographers since 2004, and will continue to teach this course online through www.BetterPhoto.com. In addition to the workshops I teach, private sessions are available in my studio. We can create a custom format so that you can choose exactly what you want to learn--digital infrared, basic photography, using digital cameras, Photoshop, Fuji transfers, handcoloring,etc. Sharing a private session is also possible.

New Whale Journey Film & DVD
I have almost finished a 28 minute DVD about humpback whales, to be available later in the Fall/Winter, 2011-12. Whale Journey is an experiential and poetic film about humpback whales, with stunning underwater footage from Tonga that includes whales initiating contact with people. It sheds light on who these magnificent beings are--their vast intelligence, and their importance in the planet’s ecosystem. It contains informative quotes from scientists about the whales, interspersed with video footage and slides, plus a memorable sound track of originally composed music.
